Privacy Policy

Scope and controller

Days for Us is the service operator responsible for the information described in this Policy. This Policy applies to information processed through the Service and our support communications. It does not apply to third-party websites, products, or services that you choose to open through a link in the Service.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including your email address, authentication identifiers, display name, invitations, reports you send us about a concern, plans, date and time proposals, responses, calendar availability blocks, notes, wish-list items, and other content you choose to enter. If you use Google Sign-In, we receive the identity information made available by Google to authenticate your account, such as your email address and basic profile identifier. We and our infrastructure providers may also process limited technical information necessary to operate and secure the Service, including device, browser, IP-address, log, and session information. If usage and crash data sharing is turned on, we also collect app-usage events (such as which screens are opened and whether an invitation or plan was created) and crash diagnostics, as described in Analytics and crash reporting below.

How we use information

We use information to provide, secure, maintain, personalize, troubleshoot, and improve the Service; authenticate users; create and manage shared spaces; deliver transactional communications; prevent misuse; enforce our Terms; and comply with legal obligations. Transactional messages may include account confirmation, password recovery, account-security, and service messages. We do not use private plan, note, surprise, availability, or gift content for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

Analytics and crash reporting

We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics in the mobile app, and Google Analytics on our website, to understand how the Service is used and to diagnose problems. These tools collect app-usage events, device and app information (such as device model, operating-system version, app version, and approximate location derived from IP address), an app-instance identifier, and, for crashes, diagnostic stack traces linked to an opaque account identifier. We do not send your email address, name, plan titles, notes, availability details, or wish-list content to these tools, and we do not use them for advertising or ad personalization. You can turn off usage and crash data sharing at any time in Account settings → Privacy. Google processes this information as our service provider; see Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Shared spaces and visibility choices

The Service is designed for shared planning. Content you choose to share in a shared space may be visible to connected members according to the applicable feature and visibility setting. Shared plans, responses, shared notes, gift ideas, and shared availability can be seen by connected members. A personal availability block may be hidden from the proposing member, while the affected account may receive a notice about its own conflict. Private and surprise features are designed to limit visibility, but no technical measure is perfect. You are responsible for deciding what to share and for confirming that you have the right to invite or share content about another person.

Service providers and other disclosures

We use providers to operate the Service, including Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure, Cloudflare for web hosting and security services, Google (Firebase) for app analytics, crash reporting, and push-notification delivery, Resend for transactional email delivery, and Zoho Mail for support communications sent to or from our support address. These providers may process personal information only as needed to provide their services to us and subject to their applicable terms and safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights, safety, and security, to investigate abuse or fraud, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.

Retention and account deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, meet the purposes described here, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. You may request account deletion in Settings, at https://daysforus.com/account-deletion/, or by emailing [email protected] from your registered email address. We may ask for information needed to verify the request. Deletion removes the account and associated personal profile from active use. Some shared records may remain where reasonably necessary to preserve another member's records, and limited information may be retained where required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, backups, and dispute resolution.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system, transmission, or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Do not store highly sensitive, emergency, medical, financial, or confidential information in the Service. You are responsible for protecting your device and account credentials.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can update certain profile information in Settings, manage shared content through the Service, unsubscribe from non-essential communications where available, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or information about our processing. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond as required by applicable law.

International processing

Our providers and personnel may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws of your jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential browser storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember security-related preferences, and operate the Service. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page performance and aggregate website usage. Cloudflare states that its Web Analytics beacon does not track individual end users across its customers' sites. On our website, Google Analytics uses cookies or similar browser storage to measure usage when usage data sharing is turned on; advertising-related storage is disabled. You can turn this off in Account settings → Privacy or by blocking cookies in your browser. We do not use the Service to deliver third-party behavioral advertising. If we add materially different analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies, we will update this Policy and provide any notices or choices required by law.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. Do not use the Service if you are under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact [email protected].

Changes and contact

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version and update its effective date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice through the Service or by email where appropriate. Questions, complaints, and privacy requests can be sent to [email protected]. If you are in a jurisdiction that provides a right to complain to a data-protection authority, you may also contact your local authority.
